I run special projects for investment firms, family offices, founders and foundations — the things that need real attention but don't have a clear owner.

My name is Sandra Humbel, and I've spent the last 13 years making investment firms and their founders look and operate at their best — running events, building brands, polishing materials, managing vendors, and handling the hundred things that shape how a firm is experienced by investors, partners, and the people who matter.
For eight years, I ran marketing and communications at a Geneva-based private equity firm. I built the function from scratch, managed substantial budgets, and produced six editions of the Global Investment Forum — a two-day investor conference with 500+ attendees and speakers including former heads of state. If it affected how the firm looked or felt, it crossed my desk.
After that, I established a Geneva-based investment foundation as its Executive Director and sole employee — managing Board operations, sponsor relationships, and delivering the seventh edition of the Forum. I was formally recognised as Co-Founder.
Investor days, board materials, private events, brand projects — there's always a category of work that needs real attention and doesn't have a clear owner. I sit on your side of the table: managing the agencies, the vendors, and the outcomes. No markup, no middleman. Just someone capable and discreet who makes the work excellent.
Annual investor conferences, LP meetings, private dinners, strategic offsites. I build the agenda alongside you, manage the venue and vendors, coordinate speakers, and run the whole thing on the day. You focus on your guests — I take care of everything else.
Investor decks, annual reports, board packs, strategic briefings. You know what you want to say — I help get it out of your head and onto the page clearly and polished. I brief designers when the job calls for it, but I own the message and the quality.
Whether you need a full refresh or just consistency across what you have, I find the right designer or agency, manage the process, and keep it pragmatic. I talk to your team about what they actually need day-to-day — without turning it into a six-month project.
Website projects, newsletters, press outreach, content from your events. I own the brief and manage the process so the output sounds like your firm — not a generic agency template.
Board meeting preparation and follow-up, briefing materials for stakeholders, welcome packs for new team members or investors — the inward-facing work that keeps everyone informed and the office running smoothly.
Bespoke stationery, curated gift packages for investors and partners, branded items, welcome kits. The thoughtful touches that signal care and set your firm apart. Small in scope, outsized in impression.
The ones that need a brain, not a job title. Research projects, vendor sourcing, coordination across external advisors, preparing for a Board meeting, getting a new initiative off the ground. If it needs good judgment and someone to actually drive it forward — it's probably mine.
I'm not an agency and I'm not a junior hire. I'm a senior pair of hands who already knows how this world works — which means less briefing time for you, and better outcomes for everyone. Here's what that looks like in practice.
Your vendors invoice you directly — I manage the process and the quality. No markup, no middleman. My interests are always aligned with yours.
Discretion isn't a feature — it's the baseline. I work with principals, family members, and sensitive stakeholders. NDAs are standard. I operate with a minimal digital footprint — nothing discussed, shared, or stored beyond what the work requires.
You tell me what needs to happen. I work out how, manage whoever needs managing, and come back with something you're proud of. If it's outside my skill set, I'll tell you — and find the right person.
Whether it's a single project or something ongoing — the best way to reach me is directly. No minimum, no commitment — just a conversation.
